If you are a Purchase Ledger Clerk who wants a ‘step up’ and gain more exposure within a role then this vacancy is ideal – to qualify all you need is 6-12 months experience in purchase ledger – you will gain exposure to payment runs and supplier statement recs so this opportunity is great to become a purchase ledger expert.

You will be working for a renowned property company based in Bolton – it is an exciting dynamic office with a city centre vibe but with the added benefit of it having parking. Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Supervisor you will be supported by a team of 4. Everyone supports each other and works coherently as a team.

As long as your hard-working and organised fitting in with the business will be easy – you aren’t going to be micromanaged just trained by the Purchase Ledger Supervisor. She is great – she has grown her team over the years and even brought apprentices in who are now part of the purchase ledger team.

What makes this role so dynamic is that it is really varied – it is an end-to-end position where you will be performing all aspects of accounts payable. Your duties will include:

  • Processing and control of supplier invoices
  • Payment of suppliers within agreed terms
  • Control over payments to suppliers
  • Supplier master file maintenance / control
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assisting in ensuring the validity of outstanding PO’s / GRNI / Invoice register
  • Controlling over inter-company payments
  • Accuracy of PO / Invoice coding
  • Accuracy of invoice matching / correct authorisation
  • Ad hoc duties such as post / filing / project / banking
  • Bi-weekly payment runs
