An internationally recognised leader in the Mechanical and Engineering service industry, the business is equipped to deliver a full range of services including routine maintenance and full service inspection.

The successful applicant for this sought-after Financial Controller position will be reporting into the Managing Director and working closely with the Head of Operations. You will also be spear heading the UK financial team.

The successful candidate for this unique & exciting position will be a pioneer in driving continuous improvement & upgrading essential processes and procedures. In addition, this individual will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to ensure all compliance is adhered to and uphold stringent financial disciplines / controls.

This Financial Controller post is ideal for a fully qualified Accountant who has experience of working in a fast-paced environment where no 2 days are the same.

Role & responsibilities

  • Managing a small team of direct reports within the Head Office Finance Team and take a lead on the performance management by setting a clear direction for the team
  • Be a key member of Senior Management team
  • You will be taking a lead on internal and external reporting processes both monthly and annually, including Group consolidation
  • Taking ownership of the annual budget and re forecasting processes across Head Office and other locations to ensure alignment with strategic and operational business planning
  • Working closely with head of operations and other key stakeholders to deliver financial operational plans within a timely manner
  • Being focused on delivery of high-quality results to meet requirements both internally and externally, with a focus being on technical accuracy of accounting and reporting
  • Having the ability to manage key stakeholder relationships across all levels and departments
  • Liaising with auditors both internally and externally
