Working in such an innovative industry as IT, this is the perfect opportunity for a Bookkeeper with a wealth of knowledge and experience to come in and implement new processes.
The Managing Director likes to keep up with the times and is constantly looking at ways he can improve or streamline procedures. You will play a pivotal part in the company’s day-to-day running and have regular sit-downs with the MD, giving you the opportunity to discuss how you can improve the finance function.
You may feel frustrated in your current role because your MD is either micro-managing you or not listening to what you have to say. You don’t have to worry about this here, the MD offers a ‘hands-off’ approach as he trusts you, but still values your opinion and will always make time to sit down and hash out any queries.
Having an autonomous working structure means you won’t be bound by rigid hours or having to come into the office 5 days a week. The MD wants someone to come in and make this role their own, and to ensure he gets the best talent, he understands candidates want flexibility.
Alongside doing the transactional accounting and ensuring the business ticks over you will have the opportunity to get involved with the management accounts. You are essentially going to be the backbone of this business. With there being so much to get your teeth stuck into, this is certainly suited to someone who enjoys keeping busy!
